However, Dhaka controlled well the initial damage as Sunil Narine, and Rony Talukdar added 6 7 runs in the 2nd wicket stand. After the dismissals of both Rony and Shakib, Dhaka lost three wickets in quick succession.

Narine dropped for 25 runs because of the next wicket. Rony and Shakib al-Hasan added 3-5 runs in the next wicket stand. Rony hit on his fifty from 31 chunks and became the second community batsman after Mehidy Hasan Miraz to hit on a fifty at the ongoing BPL.
