Barcelona mentor Luis Enrique has blamed journalists for an absence of consistency in their treatment of Neymar’s disciplinary record. The Brazil global has been reserved three circumstances in his last five diversions and is suspended for the Copa del Rey semi-last second leg against Atletico Madrid one week from now.
Neymar, however, was fouled seven circumstances in a red hot first leg at the Vicente Calderon which saw him irritated by the home supporters.
What’s more, in front of Barca’s LaLiga coordinate against Athletic Bilbao on Saturday, it was proposed to Luis Enrique that Neymar may not get enough security given he is one of Spain’s most fouled players, yet one who consistently gets checked himself.
The Barca head mentor guaranteed to be astonished to hear a strong question, given he sees Neymar and a significant number of his colleagues to have been scrutinized by the press.
Luis Enrique stated: “My players get a greater number of handles and fouls than different groups, that is valid. Furthermore, they do have a tendency to get loads of cards too – unusually they are a standout among the most reserved groups – so make what you will of that. We simply concentrate on showing signs of improvement consistently.
“Individuals are continually attempting to think of these crusades to get my players shaky. Firstly there are battles to dishonor my players and after that similar media concoct things saying we are unjustifiably treated, ‘You make three fouls and you get three cards’.
“I can just acclaim my players since they have needed to play amid this season in circumstances where they have needed to keep their heads splendidly.
“I would prefer not to talk more on this theme [of refereeing], as it is best not to upset something you can’t control. This kind of talk is exactly what really matters to football, particularly at huge clubs. Let everybody say what they need to state.”
